Speaking of freezing….I always have various bags of pre soaked beans in the freezer. Works beautifully and you never have that, “I forgot to soak the beans” pit in your stomach. They don’t freeze in a block so you can take out as much as you need. I also freeze all sauces, marinades, soups, etc in ziplock bags frozen flat so they stack. Easily labeled with content and amounts (2 cups chicken stock) to grab at a moments notice. Stack them on top of each other or stand them up side by side, here’s nothing more organized. Just my two cents 🙂
I never thought of freezing pre-soaked beans what a great idea! Any and all sensible two bits welcome.
