Asian Chicken Noodle Wild Mushroom Soup

This soup changes a little from year to year depending upon which vegetables I am keeping around. Don’t feel like you need to go out and buy wild oyster mushrooms, it works with crimini, shitaki, even white mushrooms will work in a pinch.

Grandmother's Cookies

My grandmother used to make these butter cookies. She always had a tin of them around so she could have one or two with her afternoon glass of sherry, hers were about the size of a silver dollar.

White Peach Sorbet

There are only so many days between perfect peaches becoming overripe yucky peaches. I decided that white peach sorbet would be a good stab at preserving the essence of ripe white peach for another day.
